Three young women with a shared interest in the politics of female self-empowerment -
and a commonly held love for the unlikely backwaters of popular culture that yield some of
Woman's strongest images: enter the aptly named COMPANY, the formidable creative
threesome that brings together the multitasking talents of artists Alexandra Bachzetsis,
Tina Bleuler and Lies Van Borm.
"Act" and "Soirée", the first events to be staged under the auspices of COMPANY, offer a
glimpse of the fearsome trio's future plans - a promiscuous cataloguing of 'performance' in
its many varying guises and contexts. As to their line of business: the sheer,
unadulterated pleasure of performing - yet always with a critical eye on "gender trouble".
Soirée is the second collaboration of Alexandra Bachzetsis, Lies Vanborm and Tina Bleuler.
They plan to produce and premiere it in May 2008 in the theatre Gessnerallee in Zurich.
